Ambruosi Racing is a strong family-run team that has been competing in Australian Drag Racing for over 30 years.

 

From the humble beginnings, passion and dedication have always been a major aspect within drag racing for Robert Ambruosi. It all began from a childhood dream to becoming a 400 Thunder Championship contender.

No matter the battles Ambruosi Racing have faced, giving up has never been an option. Ambruosi finished 3rd in the championship in the 2017-18 race season, and in the opening of the 2018-19 race season Ambruosi took his first final win at the East Coast Thunder Nationals, in the 400 Thunder racing series.

There is a pretty short list of father/daughter teams in the racing world but daughter, Monique Ambruosi began her racing career at the age of just 14, competing in a Junior Dragster category which continued until the age of almost 17. In her final year of racing Monique finished 2nd in the championship points.

Now 23 years of age, Ambruosi Racing has expanded into a two car team again. Daughter, Monique now drives the Ambruosi Racing Modified Dragster competing in the IHRA 400 Thunder Drag Racing Series. Sponsored by Melbourne Sports Medicine and Ausfield Lubricants.
