Monique’s love for the automotive industry began at a very young age. What started out as time together with her father within the family business, helping him pull apart customers engines, quickly turned into a deep passion for high performance engines and race cars.

Surrounded by cars and drag racing her whole life, Monique Ambruosi became heavily involved in working on her dads race car at the age of just thirteen.

It didn’t take Robert Ambruosi long to realise his daughter shared his passion and unknown to Monique he purchased a Junior Dragster from the United States. Licensing at the age of fourteen Monique began to compete in the Junior Dragster category and continued to race until she was almost seventeen years of age. Within her last year of racing Monique finished 2nd in the championship in her A/Class Junior Dragster, completing elapse time’s of 7.90 seconds down the 1/8 Mile.

Monique now plays a pivotal role within the Ambruosi racing team and is involved with all aspects of servicing the race car in preparation for and during a race meeting. Monique also brings her passion for graphic design to the Ambruosi Racing team. Managing all platforms of social media, branding and merchandise, her commitment and dedication to the Ambruosi team and the sport of drag racing is held in high regard across the entire industry.

Now 23 years of age Monique is the driver of the Ambruosi Racing Modified Dragster competing in the IHRA 400 Thunder Drag Racing Series. Sponsored by Melbourne Sports Medicine and Ausfield Lubricants.

LIFE OUTSIDE THE RACE TRACK

Monique upholds a full-time position at her family business as a metal fabricator/welder, completing jobs such as exhaust systems, tubing cars, chassis work and anything that may include fabricating jobs and reconstructing metal. Alongside working at Ambruosi Fabrications, she is also a qualified graphic designer. Monique owns and runs a small graphic designing business by the name of ‘MA Infinite Designs’, completing jobs such as logo, apparel, business cards and any form of branding that requires the skill of designing.
